The Cornwall Party Venue Guide: Unusual Places You Can Actually Hire

Updated 26 September 2026 2 min read

The village hall is the default because it is the easiest to find, not because it is the best fit for every party. Here's what else you can actually hire in Cornwall, and what each one suits.

What to check before you book

  • Is the hire exclusive, or is another booking using the space the same day?
  • What time can you access the venue to decorate, and by what time must you be packed up and out?
  • Is there a licensed bar, or do you need to arrange your own drinks and a temporary event notice?
  • Is there parking for guests, and how far is it from the entrance?
  • Are there noise curfews, especially for anywhere near housing?

Book heritage and farm venues early

National Trust properties and popular farm venues get booked 6 months or more ahead for summer Saturdays. Village and community halls stay far more available - a reasonable fallback if a more unusual venue is already gone for your date.

Once you know what kind of place you are after, see how venues and other suppliers are matched to your guest count and budget.
