What Should an Event Supplier Put on Their Profile?

Updated 2 September 2026 3 min read

A host comparing suppliers is deciding who to contact from what is in front of them, not from what you would tell them on a call. A thin profile gets skipped, even if you are exactly the right match. Here's what actually earns the contact.

Photos that show real events

A bio that says what you do, specifically

"Event supplier covering Cornwall" tells a host nothing. Name the event types and categories you actually cover, and be upfront about what you do not do - a host who rules themselves out before messaging you was never going to book anyway, and it keeps the enquiries you do get relevant.

A price range, not "contact for pricing"

Plan My Do lets you publish a price range on your profile, shown to hosts before they get in touch. It is one of the single biggest levers on whether someone contacts you at all - see why suppliers should show their prices online for the reasoning.

A precise service area

The fields the matcher itself reads

Everything above is what a host reads once they are looking at you. A separate, smaller set of fields - your price range, guest range, preferred days and event size - is what decides whether they see you high enough up the list to look at all. How Plan My Do matches suppliers to events covers which ones carry the most weight and how much detail is actually worth adding.

Keep it current

Update your profile after each event while it is fresh - a new photo and a quick note takes two minutes right after the event and is much harder to do from memory six months later.
